Are your teachers AMI certified?
Yes. Our faculty hold AMI (Association Montessori Internationale) diplomas and, in most cases, bachelor's degrees. AMI is the international standard of authentic Montessori training, established by Dr. Montessori herself in 1929.
What is the difference between AMI and other Montessori schools?
Not all schools that use the word "Montessori" follow the same standards. AMI is the original accrediting body, founded by Dr. Montessori in 1929. AMI-certified teachers complete rigorous training and must meet strict standards. We are an AMI Recognized School, which means our program is verified as authentic.
How is Montessori different from a traditional school?
In a Montessori classroom, children choose their own work within a prepared environment, move freely, and learn at their own pace. There are no grades in the traditional sense — progress is observed and assessed through the child's daily work. Mixed-age classrooms allow older children to teach and younger children to observe, which benefits both.
Do children transition well from Montessori to public school?
Yes — and often exceptionally well. Montessori children typically enter traditional school with strong self-discipline, independent thinking, and a love of learning. Many go on to honors programs and advanced coursework.
How do I enroll?
The first step is to schedule a tour. After observing a classroom and meeting with our teachers, you'll complete an application. Placement is determined by age, developmental readiness, and available space. See our Enrollment Process page for full details.
What scholarships do you accept?
We accept several Florida-based scholarships including Step Up For Students income-based scholarships, the Family Empowerment Scholarship for Students with Unique Abilities, the Hope Scholarship, and AAA Scholarships. Visit our Financial Aid page for details.
Is there a waiting list?
If a program is at capacity, applicants are placed on a waiting list. Previously enrolled students have priority, followed by their siblings.
What is the school's policy on withdrawals?
A 30-day written notice is required. Families remain responsible for tuition during the notice period. Records are released when the account is paid in full.
How can I stay involved as a parent?
Parent involvement is encouraged and valued. We hold regular Parent Information Nights, workshops, and community events. Parents are welcome to visit classrooms and are required to attend parent meetings.
What are the school's health and safety protocols?
The school maintains strict health and safety protocols, including regular sanitization, health screenings, and adherence to state guidelines to ensure the well-being of all students and staff.
